Jessica Schaefer is an American businesswoman and entrepreneur best known for founding Bevel, a communications firm dedicated to the technology and venture capital sectors. Under her leadership as Founder and CEO, Bevel emerged as a powerhouse and key partner to a wide range of companies, representing more than $500B in assets under management. The firm was best known for growing seed stage companies into multi-billion dollar brands with notable exits to Coinbase and Robinhood. Core areas of expertise were healthcare, fintech, consumer tech, venture capital and hedge funds with clients such as Acorns, Better.com,
BlockTower, Ro, Tia, Sollis Health, Greycroft, and Point72.
In 2023, Bevel was acquired by a strategic company. Prior to establishing Bevel, Jessica led communications for Steve Cohen’s Point72, a $30B hedge fund, and is responsible for his comeback story. She also led marketing for its venture capital division Point72 Ventures. During her noncompete period, Jessica raised millions of dollars to launch an AI fertility tech platform, Lushi, dedicated to giving women the choice to have both a fulfilling career and family at a timing that makes sense for them. The concierge platform offers a holistic approach to women's health with in-home fertility services, nutrition guidance, and support.
In September 2025, Jessica launched Cap V, a strategic advisory and communications firm that will acquire best-in-class creative boutique agencies: PR, social media, influencers, paid media and digital, powered by AI and run by specialists. Throughout her career Jessica had multiple sales and marketing roles at Moody's, including Head of Marketing Communications and Director of Global Sales, where she managed a portfolio worth $12.5 million. Jessica's professional journey began at a mid-sized PR agency in New York City during the 2008 financial crisis, where she orchestrated communications strategies for notable clients such as OppenheimerFunds, RBC, RBS, and Jefferies.
Jessica has been honored with numerous accolades, including Business Insider’s “Top Financial PR Experts,” Crain’s NY “Notable in Marketing & PR,” LA Times “Women to Watch,” PR News’ “Rising Stars 30 under 30,” and Moody’s “Rising Star Award.” Jessica was also celebrated on the Innovate Finance Women in FinTech Powerlist for 2023, underscoring her influence and leadership in the industry.
Jessica holds an MBA in Finance from the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College and earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from Quinnipiac University, graduating summa cum laude. Beyond her professional achievements, Jessica serves on the Board for the Children’s Cancer Recovery Foundation and dedicates her expertise to public relations efforts for nonprofits focused on pediatric cancer.
